How I Organize My Life: College Edition

Hi friends!

I love organization and planning my time. I have had friends ask me how I stay so organized so I wanted to share! I also have had multiple employers ask me how I organize myself for school and how I set myself up for success. I love answering this question so I thought I would share!

My organization system includes my weekly appointment book, school planner, and a hanging wall calendar.

WEEKLY APPOINTMENT BOOK- TIME BLOCKING

I use the weekly appointment book to look at my week at a glance and make sure my life stays balanced. So, I always start by putting in my classes and my class times and then I move onto appointments or meetings and then I finish by including my workouts and social plans! I love setting up my week every Sunday and I feel so lost if I don’t fill it out for one week! So this is an essential to keep me sane :)

SCHOOL PLANNER- PLUM PAPER DESIGNS

I keep all my assignments and tests in my school planner. I start with the monthly spread and write down all my tests, projects, breaks, that way I can mentally prepare myself if I have multiple tests in one week.

Monthly Spread:

Weekly Spread:

Then, I move onto my week and I write down all my homework and things I need to get done. I highlight things that are due the next day so they are the first priority. I then write down other homework, and if I don’t have it done, I move it over to the next day to finish. I cross things out when I am done and this keeps me super organized.

This planner is by far THE BEST planner for students. Unlike other planners, this one is set up for different classes and it is designed with students in mind. I used this planner through high school and college and I believe it is one of my keys to success and getting good grades!

WALL HANGING CALENDAR:

The final organization thing I do, is keep a hanging wall calendar! I write tests, appointments and when I am going home, so that I can keep all the dates straight even if I don’t have my other 2 calendars out, I can still visualize what I need to get done!

I hope you enjoyed and maybe even got inspired to buy a new planner or organize your life!

Until next time,

xo,

Megan
