2019: Year in Review
Wow. It is crazy how last this year went. My first blog post was my 2018 year in review and it’s crazy that is has been a whole year.
2019 was a crazy year and one that I am very grateful for. I learned a lot, grew in many ways, and traveled Europe and met Shawn Mendes. While all at the same time working hard, in school and working at Nordstrom, and spent time with all the people I love.
Get ready 2020, you have some big shoes to fill.
January 2019: Went back for recruitment 2019, went shopping with two of my best friends, and played some intramural basketball which is my favorite winter activity.
February: Chi O initiation and more basketball!
March: Home for Spring Break and my best friends came and visited me. My flight home was delayed and I remember Carson crying because he was afraid my flight would be delayed and I wouldn’t be able to come home :(
Besides spring break, I went to baseball games, crawfish boil, Austin for the day to shop, hurt my ankle, watched woman’s basketball win the national championship and celebrated DIA ( a Baylor Spring staple).
April: Time spent with Meagan and Bailey ft. Bare Bucha, paddle boarding, and I went home for Easter.
May: Baylor Buddies Bowling event with sweet Mikiyah, formal and studying for finals.
After moving home for the summer, Sydney and I went to the Hunter Hayes concert and I had a week to get ready to go to Europe.
June: AHHH!!! Probably the best month possibly ever. Going to Maastricht and traveling Europe was a dream come true. I would relive this trip in a heartbeat…
I did a blog post for every place we traveled to, but to recap… We started in Maastricht, went to Amsterdam, the Hague and Zaandam…
Then to Paris…. which was a dream.
… and I made a big girl purchase for myself for my 20th birthday…
Then to Munich…
Then… Salzburg, Austria
and Barcelona for my birthday weekend :)
and finished with a trip to Rome
and spent our final days in Maastricht soaking in all the culture, views and rooftop bars.
July: Um. Yeah. Another bucket list item which was also a dream. I met Shawn Mendes. I also did a blog post all about this. So go read :)
July also brought lots of working and lunch breaks with nugget, and walks with Joey enjoying CO summer.
August: Carson started playing tackle football, and we took a girls trip to NYC. I love the city and this trip was such a good time and our first ever girls trip.
Oh, and we saw Shawn Mendes in concert for the second time.
and I moved into my new house in Waco for junior year. And I started my third year of college! So wild!
September: FOOTBALL SEASON!!! Jake Scott concerts! And of course studying…
Weekly bible study was such a blessing this semester!
and a trip home to watch nugget so my parents could go to Nebraska. Go big red.
And I went to the Texas State Fair. This was a huge deal. And I really thrived and loved it.
October: Went to my cousin’s Bat Mitzvah, Chi O formal, and Silobration where I enjoyed a funnel cake. Thanks Chip and Jo.
… and I spent lots of time with my favorite puppy. I love being your auntie Meggie Presley (cutest mini aussie ever!!)
decorated for Christmas in October. First time I’ve ever done that.
November: More Baylor football, fun moments in Pansy Palace as we broke the microwave, FREEZING cold intramural flag football games, ESPN College Gameday mornings getting up at 3am, and supporting the bears through it all !!!
And Thanksgiving break included a trip to Turks and Caicos which was such a blessing of ocean relaxation and family time.
to Denver then to Turks!
December: Yeah. So, we sat front row at the Jonas Brothers concert. Another bucket list item. I cried and cried. It was seriously so fun and emotional. The Jo Bros are back.
BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Can you spot us?
Baylor Christmas on 5th with the roomies :)
Christmas at home!! Always kissing nugget’s cheeks :)
… and some fun moments at work with the bestie girl!
I’m thankful for every moment, the highs and lows and the learning curves. 2019 was a year filled with some of my favorite moments and memories.
Like I said, get ready 2020, you have some big shoes to fill. Let’s get it.
x o x o,
