2018: Year in Review
2018 was a pretty good year. . I am a sucker for reflecting and reliving the past. So here are my highlights from 2018.
January: I went back to school for my second semester of freshman year and went through sorority recruitment and went chi o. And, being the history buff I am, on a day off from school, I traveled to see the JFK museum in Dallas.
February: From late nights in the library, to basketball games with my Baylor Buddy, to being initiated, this month was full of the best college moments.
March: I traveled home for Spring break, went to class of course, and ate at Magnolia table during the chaos of their opening.
April: More ridiculous pictures (this time with clout goggles), traveling home for Easter, goat yoga and celebrating one of the best days at Baylor: Dia.
May: I finished my freshman year of college and moving out of my dorm was bittersweet. And, after a day of moving out, I finished with my favorite tex mex in Waco.
June: Summer was crazy as I was working at Nordstrom, and at an immigration law firm as an intern, and in my free time was going to Orange theory with my parents, or working on my two online summer classes. And, I celebrated my 19th birthday with my favorite dessert. The last week of June, we went to to Seaside, Florida to see my grandparents and vacation for a week.
One of the hardest things for summer 2018, was that I was supposed to be an alumni leader on a mission trip to Managua, Nicaragua. I have been two years and this summer was supposed to be my third. When the trip was canceled in early June, I was heartbroken. I have found so much purpose and I love Nicaragua and the people with all my heart. So, it was hard to adjust to not going to Nicaragua.
July: More working and working out. If you know about the Nordstrom anniversary sale, you know the chaos of July at Nordstrom.
August: We went to Nebraska to a friend’s lake house, one of my best friends came and visited Denver, and I moved into my apartment for sophomore year
September: football, football and more football. Oh, and meeting my best friend, Blitz.
October: more football, my sister coming to visit me, and traveling home for fall break
November: Nana visited me in Waco, I was a tooth fairy for Baylor homecoming, and I went to the last football game of the season.
December: Waco still looks like fall in December, I finished finals, and I came back and worked for Nordstrom again. And of course, celebrated Christmas at home.
A Year in Review:
2018 brought trials, tribulations, and times of pure joy and laughter. But, I was reminded of God’s character through it all. I was overwhelmed with lessons and reminders of God’s patience with us.
Let’s go 2019.
xoxo,
Megan
