21 Things I Learned at 21
Hi friends,
Last week was my birthday and I thought it would be fun to share some things I’ve learned a long the way.
21 things I learned when turning 21:
1. There is no set timeline for people’s lives. Everyone does life differently.
2. You can plan but things change. I have learned to let go.
3. It’s not what you know but who you know. And networking is essential.
4. You constantly learn and can gleam wisdom from people in all walks of life.
5. Time flies. I still feel like I am an 11 year old kid sometimes.
6. Enjoy where you are in life
7. Friends come into your life for a reason, season of lifetime
8. Lean into and enjoy your passions because life is too short not to.
9. Travel. Travel. Travel. Some of the most important and moments I’ve experienced has been on trips.
10. You grow outside of your comfort zone
11. You can never fully understand what other people are going through
12. Your parents shape the person you are. So be grateful for them, or learn distance is healthy.
13. History repeats itself. You can easily fall into old habits.
14. It’s okay to want to be a kid again and do things that make you feel like a kid at heart
15. Some of the best moments I’ve had have been when I don’t have my phone.
16. Everyone has a story. And a lot of times that story explains who that person is.
17. Let your faith be bigger than your fear. God is good all the time.
18. You accept the love you think you deserve. Whether that be friendships or relationships.
19. Confidence is key. You can conquer the world if you believe you can.
20. Whoever said money can’t buy happiness didn’t know where to shop. Work hard and reward yourself.
21. When you put everything in God’s hands, you see God’s hands in everything.
Here’s to another year of living and learning.
