The Ultimate Nashville Weekend

Nashville Weekend:

Hi friends!!

Y’all. I am obsessed with Nashville. Ever since I realized you could drink in Nashville, I’ve said I have wanted to go for my 21st birthday. And then COVID, so I was unable to go on my 21st birthday trip. But Nashville is worth the wait. And, even one weekend trip does not cover everything in Nashville.

Our trip included a Nashville local- my sister is a freshman at Belmont University so she helped us pick all of the best spots.

Here are all of our recommendations for the best Nashville weekend and everything you need to see (21 and under friendly!!)

THURSDAY: DFW —> BNA

On Thursday afternoon, we left TX to go to Nashville. I had to include this picture because it was the first time my best friend, Bailey, and I had ever been in an airport together. And we bonded over our love for airports and the need to get there hours before your flight to explore. Please comment below if you agree that being at the airport is a power move.

📍Belmont University

Once we got to Nashville, we went and walked around Belmont University. Even if you don’t know a student at Belmont, I recommend looking at campus because it is such a pretty campus! Since I don’t go to college in a city, I loved seeing that environment. In addition, it is interesting because there are 3 universities in one area. Vanderbilt, Belmont and Lipscomb.

📍Burger Republic

Dinner was super fun and we recommend stopping at Burger Republic. They had yummy alcoholic milkshakes, truffle tater tots and a good burger.

FRIDAY:

📍Frothy Monkey

Are you looking for the perfect coffee and brunch spot?? You HAVE to check out Frothy Monkey on 12th South. I ordered a mimosa and monte cristo. It was so yummy and I highly recommend!

📍12th South

Luckily, Frothy Monkey is located centrally on 12th South. So if you are looking for all the sweets and cute shopping you can finish your brunch/lunch and walk along 12th South.

📍Five Daughter’s Bakery

Y’all. This place is a MUST. I have known about Five Daughter’s since I was a freshman in college and modeled a doughnut shop after Five Daughters for one of my entrepreneurship classes. The doughnuts are so yummy. Doughnuts are my weakness and I enjoyed every bite. We tried a lot of flavors and I have no complaints. Please go here!!

📍Draper James

Photo Op:

All the Nashville murals are all on 12th South and are the perfect photo backdrop. And, some of the murals are right next to each other so you can get lots of pictures in the same place!

📍Hampton Social

I can almost guarantee that you have seen this place ALL OVER instagram. And honestly, I would say that Hampton Social lived up to all the hype. The environment, the food, the drinks, and the decor was perfection. I have nothing bad to say about Hampton Social and you need to go there!! Make sure to make a reservation as I can imagine it is always busy.

📍Broadway

Like I said, this guide is 21 and under friendly :) But, we had to walk down Broadway. It looked like a COVID nightmare with lots of people, but the environment was SO FUN. We are going to have to make a seperate trip to “do Broadway”.

SATURDAY

📍Pancake Pantry

Another Nashville staple that even Shawn Johnson loves. I would say it for sure lived up to the hype and we went at 8am to try to beat the crowd. Another must see with good food and photo opportunties!

📍Graduate Hotel

Obsessed. Please please please go to the Graduate Hotel. Another very busy location, but we got coffee at Point Dexter coffee and just hung out in the lobby. Everywhere you look is so cute and I could sit in there for hours. Another place I want to go back to next time I go to Nashville.

📍Uncommon James

I had to see Uncommon James. I’ve watched Very Cavalari so we had to go check out the store!

📍The Gulch

Another fun area to walk around, look at all the boutiques and walk around and enjoy some more good food and photo opportunities. We stopped at Bar Louie for some VERY DELICIOUS drinks and appetizers to share.

SATURDAY NIGHT-

A casual outfit change for our last night :(

📍Von El Rods

This was different than other places we went but the beer and food were good. Not my favorite, but a very fun environment that I recommend you check out!

📍Jeni’s Ice Cream

Our final stop was ice cream and is another essential for your next Nashville trip. The bramberberry crisp is so yummy and I had multiple friends tell me that this flavor could save lives.

Hope you enjoyed my Nashville guide :) Let me know your favorite spots in Nashville and places I need to check out next time I go to Nashville!

Until next time-

Megan
