What I learned First Semester of College

I am starting my junior year of college. Time flies. As i realize I only have two years left of college, I think it is important to reflect and see how far I have come. I found a note in my phone with a list of the things I learned my first semester of college and I decided to share.

  • No matter how many of these blogs you read, you have to experience it yourself. You hear everyone’s advice but you have to live it.

  • It is possible to eat healthy and workout, you can avoid the freshman 15

  • You’ll shower at the most random times.

  • You’ll do laundry at pretty random times too.

  • You have to learn to be flexible. At least I️ do. As someone who loves to plan to the minute, sometimes life happens and all the laundry machines are full, you friend asks you to go to the grocery store etc.

  • Your roommate might be your best friend, or they might not be. Either way is okay. I was lucky enough that my roommate is one of my best friends and I can’t imagine college without her. Love you @meagan!!

  • Take it day by day. It gets better, I promise. You will get adjusted to college life.

  • Time Management is key. No one is telling you where to be. Your life is your responsibility.

  • Leaving home doesn’t get easier. Please refer to my previous post for help with this one :)

  • Traveling with people is just better. If you are out of state, find some friends to travel with! It makes the experience so much better.

Hope some of these tips help. College really is the best. Sic ‘Em.

xoxo,

Megan
