YOU CAN DO IT : Surviving Test Week

We’re at that point in the semester where everyone is struggling and hoping for the end of the semester. I 100% understand. Last week was actually insane for me as I had 4 tests and was just drowning in school work and studying 24/7.

But, I made it out alive!!! And I knew this week was coming and I was preparing for the worst. However, the week before all of this happened, I took a cycling class. One of my friends is the instructor and during the spiritual song where you just take a moment (if you have ever been to a spin class you know this moment), she started talking about the power pose Ted Talk. If you haven’t seen it, you should watch it. Basically, you can trick your mind into thinking you are more powerful. Here’s the thing… you actually can do it. Fake it until you can do it. Because you can.

This really made me take a step back and re-evaluate my mind set.

First of all, you can do anything you set your mind to, even taking 4 tests in 4 days and doing well on them (yay for no class on Fridays)

Second, it truly is a blessing to be able to go to school and be stressed. Finding the good in things that cause you stress can only lead to a better outcome for you. So, be thankful that you have the opportunity to earn a college degree and work hard.

I’m not saying it’s going to be easy, I’m saying you can do it.

This is me stuDYING during test week. I named myself the black blob of misery. But clearly I was being dramatic. I’m not saying it’s going to be easy, I’m saying you can do it.

Look at this complete change in mindset. This is me being grateful for Christmas cups on a raining morning when I am at the business school at 7am studying.
